   We kick off the CD with this tough and sparkly Montuno Calypso.
2. Wouassi Dance: (Mark Kelso) Where’s the one? Layers of joyous percussion entwined with a snakey melody in 12/8 time. This is the first song Mark wrote for the group, dedicated to Brice Wouassi, a great drummer from Camaroon.
3. Lotus Garden: (Hugh Marsh, Randeev Pandit) This jam features a gorgeous Indo-Arabic melody and Hubie’s creativity running wild in 7/8 time.
4. RGT: (Gordon Sheard) This song is built on Rich Brown and Mark Kelso’s burning jungle groove.
5. Oum Factor: (Gordon Sheard) Oum Kalsoum meets funky reggae-maqsoum.
6. Mineiro De Coração: (Gordon Sheard) Sizzling samba in 3 and 4.
7. Radio Istanbul: (Gordon Sheard, Rick Lazar) Cuban rhythms ignite Arabic tonalities.
8. Surucucu: (Gordon Sheard) Spiralling melody rides the Brazilian Maracatu rhythm and features Gord on piano.
9. Nomads: (Levon Ichkhanian, Hugh Marsh, Ernie Tollar, George Koller, Rick Lazar) This song was recorded live. Getting down and dirty on a Malfuf-maqsoum groove. We titled the CD “Nomads”. We are Urban Nomads, travelling and being inspired by the great music of other cultures, mixing that with our own vision and creating a matrix of cerebral disturbance.
